At JP Master Epoxy Coatings, we follow a meticulous process for epoxy flooring installation to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of service and a finished product that meets their expectations.
STEP 1: PREPARATION
Diamond grinding is used to remove any salt or oil residue from the concrete, and all grinders are connected to vacuums to minimize the amount of dust generated.
STEP 2: REPAIRING THE CONCRETE
First, pits and cracks are filled with Duralast crack filler. Then, the surface is smoothed by grinding it off with a grinder.
STEP 3: BASECOAT
The floor is coated with Duralast’s self-priming, 100% solid, pure polyurea.
STEP 4: FULL BROADCASTING CHIPS
After an area has been base coated, chips are manually scattered onto the wet base coat to add color and texture to the floor.
STEP 5: SCRAPING THE FLOOR
Once the base coat has dried, the floor is scraped with steel blades and then vacuumed to ensure that there are no loose chips on the surface.
STEP 6: TOP COAT
The final step involves using a squeegee to apply and then rolling out the UV stable polyaspartic top coat.
